Key and Tiger Key, Southwest FL , Turner River and
Collier Seminole State Park
What: Kayaking and Camping in the 10,000 Islands (Gulf
of Mexico) plus a mile long Mangrove Tunnel on the
Turner River and a paddle in Collier Seminole State
Park, and a tropical hike thru that same park
.
Pace: Easy to Moderate
Approx mileage covered each day =5 to 8 miles
Lodging: Camping on the islands (tents and permits
included)
Length: 6 days, 5 nights
Expect White sand beaches, sparkling blue water,
gorgeous sunrise and sunsets, marine life and Island day
tripping.

Rabbit Key and Pavilion Key
Location:10,000 Islands, Southwest FL -
What: Kayak Camping on Tropical Islands (Gulf of Mexico)
Pace: Moderate Plus
Approx mileage covered each day =10-15 miles
Lodging: Camping on the islands (tents and permits
included)
Length: 3 days, two nights * Sign up before Nov 1st and
get*Plus one day kayaking on the Turner River and
camping that last day at Collier Seminole State Park
Expect : Long beautiful days paddling. You should be
able to paddle 2-3 hours at a time and keep a steady
pace.

Mexico)

Lodging: Hotel (not included) or nearby campground

Expect

Sunny days of kayaking along the coast - white sand beaches
dotted with Palms in some areas, beachfront mansions in others.
Frequent kayak buddies include pelican, dolphin and sometimes
even manatees.
Where white sand beaches stretch as far as you can see and the
shore is lined with exotic seashells. It's a world of tropical
wildlife, spectacular sunsets over sparkling waters and hundreds
of islands to explore
This route follows the coast, so many places to
pull out and stretch, have lunch, or just hang on the beach. We
will spend warm sunny days out on the water, and cool evenings
by the fire! Temps range from 50-60 at night and 70-80 during
the day.

Visit two archaeological sites to
view the intricate water courts, canal systems, burial mounds,
pottery pieces and enormous shell mounds left behind by the
Calusa Indians thousands of years ago. Piece together the clues
that scientists from around the world use to learn about how the
earliest settlers lived their daily lives
